Delete Your Account

If you wish to delete your Planera account, you can do so directly from the app or by contacting us. This page explains how to request account deletion and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From the App

1. Open Planera and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account".
3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.

Option 2: Via Email

Send a request to privacy@planeraai.app from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 48 hours.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

• Your account profile (name, email, password hash, profile picture)
• All trips and itineraries
• Traveler profiles and passport data
• Wishlist and watched destinations
• Flight booking drafts
• Notification preferences and device tokens
• Achievements, streaks, and referral data
• Community insights you have submitted
• All other personal data associated with your account

What Data May Be Retained

In certain cases, we may retain limited data after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Completed flight bookings — booking records may be retained for up to 12 months for legal, tax, and dispute resolution obligations. These records are held by our flight booking partner (Duffel) and are subject to their data retention policies.
• Fraud prevention — minimal identifiers may be retained to prevent abuse and protect the integrity of our platform.

Important Notes

• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your data cannot be recovered once deleted.
• If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid further charges.
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel confirmed flight bookings already issued by airlines. Contact the airline or our support for assistance with active bookings.
